Research Interests and Accomplishments
Jason Rafe Miller works to improve and extend software for DNA sequence assembly. He is the Principal Investigator of the Celera Assembler software development project. His group works on metagenomics assembly, large genome assembly, and assembly of next generation sequencing data. He has contributed to assembly infrastructure development at TIGR, genome comparison and annotation software at Celera, and annotation visualization software at GlaxoSmithKline and SmithKline Beecham. Mr. Miller received his Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor's degree from New York University.
